ACTIVE CLASSROOM: Economics and Personal Finance
An online trove of educational content promotes inquiry-based learning. Active Classroom gives teachers the power to customize their curriculum while matching each lesson to Common Core and state standards. It provides a wide variety of content choices, the power to differentiate for ability levels and learning modes, and flexibility in tailoring and managing assignments. Teachers can click on a standard, select from the menu of activities that fulfill that standard, and "drag and drop" to build customized activity sets. Students can then complete many of the activities online; in single-computer classrooms, assignments can also be printed out. Some highlights of the materials include:
